Work to Start on New SoDo Luxury Townhomes
Icon Residential will start construction soon on new SoDo luxury townhomes
Construction is expected to start soon on new SoDo luxury townhomes in Orlando’s Downtown South district.
Building permits totaling nearly $1 million were issued last week for four new townhomes on West Grant Street south of downtown, city of Orlando records showed. Orlando-based A&M Homes LLC is the contractor.
The new SoDo Place upscale townhome project is being developed by Largo-based Icon Residential and is being marketed as an “urban utopia” with contemporary homes ranging in size from 1,950 to 2,050 square feet with garages and rooftop terraces. The three-story units are priced from the $300,000s and six already have sold, the firm’s website showed.
Icon Residential got approval from the city earlier this year for 23 rear-load townhomes on a vacant 1.1-acre site on West Grant, west of South Orange Avenue.
New luxury townhome projects have been cropping up throughout the region. SoDo Place joins élan on Marks, a 10-unit, four-story, urban brownstone-style development with rooftop terraces on Marks Street in downtown’s North Quarter district.
Other upscale townhome projects in downtown include Brownstones at Thornton Park and Samsara.
